Excerpt from Fierce

My eyes dropped to her chest. That top fit her tits like a glove; any man would struggle to keep their eyes off her chest. I wasn’t a saint and had no problem showing my appreciation so it took me more than a few moments to look back up to her face. She was shaking her head at me but there was a hint of a smile.

I smirked. “Sweetheart, if you’re gonna wear shit like that you’ve gotta expect men to stare.”

“Turn around.”

“What?”

She repeated herself. “I said, turn around.”

“Yeah, I got that but I’m wondering where you’re going with this.”

She walked over to me until she was in my personal space. A sexy smile came over her face and she said, “I want you to turn around so that I can check out your ass cause baby, a woman’s got needs and if you’re gonna wear shit like that, her needs are gonna be fulfilled.”

I reached out and curled my hand around her neck, pulling her closer. “Fuck woman, what are you doing to me?”

Her breathing became ragged. “The same thing you’re doing to me.”

Happy New Year 2015

Happy New Year!!

WOW!  What a year 2014 was.  2013 was the year that changed my life, but 2014 was the year that showed me just what I am capable of.  2014 gave the world to me and in 2015 I am embracing everything the world has to offer and soaking it all in.

2014 gave "me" back to me.

You see, I'd lost myself somewhere along the way... to be honest, I think I lost myself way before I even really got started.  My eyes have finally been opened and I see it all... and I am never ever shutting them again.

If you're a reader of my books, I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for buying them and reading them.  You will most likely never know the many ways you have helped change my life.  But let me just say that it has been changed completely.

And all it took was for me to finally have the courage to follow my life long dream of publishing my own books.. to finally begin to believe in myself and to take a chance on myself... to step out of my comfort zone.

If you're starting the year with a goal of making some changes in your life but still struggling with that, I wish you all the best in following through on what you know deep in your heart you want to do.

A few years ago, I had to close down a struggling business that I ran with my best friend... I walked away with debt and disappointment.  I was nearly 40, a single mother and had nothing but good friends and family who loved me dearly.  I had to start over from scratch and figure out what the hell to do with my life now.  I am not the kind of person to believe in failure but I have to admit to you that after years of trying things with no success, I was feeling like there was no hope.  I think that sometimes circumstances in life come together and push you into that corner where you feel like nothing you do is working.  You feel hopeless.  The reason I am telling you all this is to give YOU hope if you're feeling like I was.

A lot can happen in a year.

Keep pushing for what you want.

Don't settle for less.

Make your dreams come true!

*raises glass*

Here's to a kick-ass 2015 where we go after what we want and give it a damn good shot at making it all happen!
